Tom Coffman
Tom Coffman’s work in book and documentary film focuses on the social and political development of Hawai‘i. He was chief political reporter of the Honolulu Star Bulletin (1968-73) and since then has been an independent writer and producer. He is the recipient of the State of Hawaiʻi’s Literature Award, and three of his books have received Hawai‘i Book Publishers Association Ka Palapala Po‘okela awards for Excellence in Nonfiction. His newest release is How Social Work Changed Hawai‘i: From Practice to Social Justice.
