Dr. Le Marchand’s research focuses on the biological and lifestyle risk factors for cancer, especially those explaining ethnic/racial disparities. He has conducted many studies in Hawaiʻi, is the founder of the Hawaiʻi Colorectal Cancer Family Registry and, since 2012, has been the Contact PI of the Multiethnic Cohort (MEC) Study.
