Leilani Portillo (they/she) is a queer Kanaka ʻŌiwi poet, potter, and artist. They were born and raised on occupied Ohlone Territory. Since moving to Hawaiʻi in 2012, they have been exploring their kuleana as a diasporic Kanaka and seek to inspire other diasporic Kanaka to return home. While raising an aloha ʻāina, They are trying to return to the land and create hana noʻeau full time.
