Kahele Dukelow
Kahele Dukelow was born and raised on the island of Maui and is a graduate of Baldwin High School. She holds a Bachelorʻs degree in Hawaiian Studies and a Masterʻs degree in Education. She has been a teacher in our Kula Kaiapuni programs on Oʻahu and Maui and a professor of Hawaiian Studies and language. She is currently the Dean of Arts and Sciences at the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College. Kahele is committed to building our lāhui, our people and ʻāina through political activism in education, language, history, culture and kuleana. She resides with her partner Kaleikoa Kaʻeo and their three children, Hoʻoleia, Wahinehula and Kapunahoa, in Waiohuli, Kula, Maui.
