Hani Elshahawi is a 33 year veteran of the energy industry, spending the last 18 years at Shell with responsibilities that included digitalization lead for Deepwater technologies, GameChanger – Shell’s disruptive technology arm, technology advisor and capabilities manager, and leader of Shell’s Fluid Evaluation and Sampling Technologies Center of Excellence. Prior to Shell, Hani spent 15 years with Schlumberger in various positions across Africa, Asia, North America, and globally spanning operations, marketing, consulting, and technology development. 

Mr. Elshahawi is the Chair of the 2022 Offshore Technology Conference in Houston, arguably the largest energy conference in the world and is the founder and managing director of NoviDigiTech LLC which partners with innovators, academics, startups, entrepreneurs, investors, and customers to create impact and drive growth through integration, collaboration, digitalization, and education. He has received multiple energy industry awards and has authored over 150 technical publications and several patents. He was the 2009-2010 President of the SPWLA and a distinguished lecturer for both societies.
