Author and historian Jane Marshall Goodsill was born and raised on O‘ahu. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, she listened to thousands of hours of personal stories. After retirement she served for ten years on her county’s historical commission. Her first book, Voices of Hawai‘i: Life Stories from the Generation that Shaped the Aloha State — Volume I, was published in 2020.
